Hosed

Wow...It's been a while...ok, only 2 weeks...the sad thing is that not much has changed in the past few weeks!

I'm felling better...I've still got a cough, so I'm not actually better, but I feel better! And that's what's really important.

This weekend that just ended was Campus Preview Weekend. MIT was over run by prefrosh...I didn't host one, so I didn't really meet/get to know any of them. I did meet a couple of them that were interested in ROTC though. I helped man the AF ROTC booth at one of their little events, basically I got all dressed up in my BDUs and talked to people. It was interesting...oh, to be a prefrosh and motivated to do anything!

This morning was the ORI/IDE (don't ask me what they stand for because I don't know). It was not very fun at all! Basically, the ORI is where the entire wing (every cadet in the AF ROTC) is inspected by the Cadre (the officers who teach us). We had to stand at attention while one guy walked up and down the rows of cadets making sure that our uniforms were perfect--it only took about half an hour, but it seemed like much longer. The IDE is where our marching/commanding abilities are evaluated. Us As.1oos were evaluated on how well we march and the AS.200s on how well the command the flight (march us around in a little box). The actual marching wasn't bad, it was the in between time--you have to stand at attention or parade rest waiting for the next one to start. It seemed to last forever! Such a long morning!

Oh well! I still love ROTC! Well...it's about time I get myself back to work....sleep, I mean! I have my PFT (Physical Fitness Test) tomorrow morning and I can't wait to pass it! I mean, I can't wait to pass it so that I can activate my scholarship early and start getting paid! Wa-hoo! It's nice to be feeling better! Nighty Night!

2 weeks? Like, till school's out? I've got 4... counting this one. What are you up to this summer? [When] are you going back to Cali? I'll be there for a little over a week before I fly to Paris... Mo and everyone will still be in school I think tho so we might have to party by ourselves :(
