***NOTE: This post was written long before I was able to post it...There is/will be an update once I have reached Vandenberg and/or home (where ever I reach the internet first)***
Well, I'm now on the plane, on my way to Vandenberg AFB...wow...I'm quite nervous. I don't even know why, this should be fun and exciting and I know that everything will be great, but I'm still worried that I'm going to do something wrong.
At any rate, I was reorganizing my random pictures...I mean, most of my pictures are quite well organized...I have all of my event and trip pictures well sorted by date and event and all of that stuff, but all the random pictures that I have from all over the place are all just together...I realized that showing pictures of the people from MIT to the people here is just a pain in the butt! (and the other way around) So, I decided to reorganize them, however I'm not all that happy with the way it is and I don't know how ling it's going to last this way...oh yeah, the point! I was going through my pictures and I discovered that there are a few pictures that I've not posted, but that I think some of you really need to see...
I contracted with the Air Force towards the end of the semester...and they took pictures of me....here are some....
Also, I had my first birthday away from home! :) It was fun, with the exception that it was in the dead center of finals! Thankfully I didn't have a final on my birthday, but I did have one the day before and two the day after. Anyway, a few months before my birthday one of the girls on my hall went to The Dirty Cake Store to buy a birthday cake for her friend and we got into a discussion about what the hall would think if someone had a dirty cake for their Happy Cocoa (I don't know that I've told you guys about that...when it's someone-who-lives-on-the-hall's birthday one of the baking chairs {me and Clare} makes them a cake and we sing {very badly} to them at 11:00pm cocoa) Of course, because I'm the only one who had not already had my happy cocoa they decided that it should be me, and me (not thinking they would do it) said that it would be fun...and thus there was the cake...and here are pictures! (and it was fun! A couple of the guys were quite embarrassed! It was great!)
Wow, the plane is almost ready to make me turn off my new one true love (man am I obsessed with my laptop!)...I think that this is all...I may or may not be able to go online while in Vandenberg...I really, really hope that I can, I'm only a little addicted to the internet now, only I truly miss the superfast-ethernet internet access. Maybe Vandenberg will have something faster than the deathly slow dial up access that I have home...hey! I can dream can't I!
And now for the descent into Las Angeles.
