So...I’m back at home for the semester. I’m working at a local burger joint, Deb’s Frosty, but I’m still trying to find a better job. My mom’s trying to get me this job at my high school tutoring and doing paperwork for is program that she’s working on...the other people think it’s a good idea, the only catch is that they don’t know if they can get funding for it, I guess the funds can’t come from the same place that the woman I’d be replacing got her paycheck...I hope they figure it out soon, cause it sounds like I could be a big help...and better money is never a bad thing :-)
My friend Amy came up from the bay area this weekend to see me! She went to MIT with me and now (after graduating with a BS in creative writing with computer science) she works in CA. :-) I wanted to go down and see her and her new apartment, but alas, I am broke and couldn’t afford the gas. At any rate, we had a really good time...we took the top off and went driving in her jeep, Dog. We even went “off roading” a little—really we just drove down a poorly maintained dirt road...but it was fun none the less! Better than anything, we both now have more color than we started out with! :-) check out some pictures from her visit if you want to! For those of you who don’t know, just click the right “more” button to see more of the trip (the left one has other pictures Amy posted)...oh and click on the picture if you wanna see it big :-)
I started at Sac State today...well, I kinda started. I don’t actually get to register for classes because I decided to start too late, so I have to go and sit in on every class I wanna take and see if there are openings that I might be able to slip into the class. I’ve never been nervous the first day of class, but I was (and still am) because I’m worried that I wont get any classes that I want! Oh well, I’m sure that everything will work out for the best...eventually.
