I went shopping with Amy & Alisonc today . . . Amy needed interview clothes*, Alisonc needed a dress for a Google Christmas party**, and I needed a new coat***.
I am the only person who succeeded. Amy wasn't happy with any of the skirts she found (and won't wear slacks) and Alisonc couldn't find a dress that was better than one that Amy has. Although, I guess that counts as a success because she has something to wear and doesn't have to pay for it -- ok, Alisonc totally won.
I did however find a great coat! It's got a lot of great pockets and is long & slimming and heavy and it was 50% off! and had no sales tax! I'm happy with it :) I'm also totally finished with almost all of my Christmas shopping! (the only ones I have left are ones that I don't really *have* to get gifts for.)
<3>* Amy got laid off this week -- she's doing really well with it. She's going to work on writing and mask making and just take a break . . . which she really needs. and yes, this is a footnote because it's not a big deal (yet)

*** mine is annoying when I go out because the pockets are really small and poorly positioned and it's really annoying to carry a purse because it's so big/stiff (and purses are annoying in general)
