Back to the Grind....

Wow! I feel like I just got back and already classes are starting. And, more than that I'm already punting! Here I am, the night of the second day of classes and I'm trying desperately hard to not do work and find something that I can do......Actually, as much as I say I'm punting, there's not much to punt. Oh well, it'll get better! :)

So, I was back for a week before classes started, but I didn’t get a chance to post anything....having too much fun. One night we made a sled run on the Stata amphitheater steps. It was a lot of work and we used cardboard to sled on at first. Later a few grad students came along with sleds and the run was a lot faster and more fun!

Let's make a nice sledding hill with nothing more than cardboard boxes and trash cans! Posted by Hello

Things really picked up when the sleds got there. Posted by Hello

Other than that, I've just been keeping myself quite busy. Making lots of cookies. Going out. We went to see Phantom of the Opera the other day (movie, not play...although that would have been really cool too). We also went Ice Skating once. I kinda really sucked at the start (the last and only other time I've been was four years ago. I got better though. Ruth and Eric were very good teachers. The only problem for me was that I got a monster of a blister.....It still hurts. Oh well, the only thing that I'm going to miss out on is more ice skating this season.

And now, classes have started. Today was the second day (as I said earlier) and now I have been to all of my classes. Most of them are kinda interesting.

  • 4.301 - Introduction to Visual Arts - I got in, so relieved....It seems like it'll be fun--a lot of work, but fun.
  • 6.001 - Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs - First Course 6 class, Yippie!
  • 8.02 - Physics II (Electricity and Magnetism) - hoping it'll be better than mechanics
  • 18.02 - Calculus II (Multivariable) - not so happy, but I have to take it
  • AS.102/AS.112 - AF ROTC - Yup, I'm still working on that one :) It's still quite a bit of fun and our first LLAB is going to be on Tuesday

Well, I think my punting is just about over...for now. Nothing more to say.....except that I got the mixer!! Yippie for 525 Watts of Power! Yippie for more cookies! and pies! and anything I can think of! I love my mixer!

I've got a mixer! I've got a mixer! I've got a mixer!
