Wow! Things are really picking up...ok, actually they are settling down, but it's still so much going on. I know that next week it should be a little better, but I’m not sure! At any rate...I've had a lot happen since last Sunday...
Let's see...there was the first LLAB on Tuesday, followed by the first AS.102 class. I love ROTC! It's so much fun. Oh, yeah! Also, I am now the new president of out AS class. It's more work, but that consists mostly of checking my e-mail and sending out e-mails (my most favorite way of punting work, so it shouldn't be much trouble). Other than that, the classes were nothing special.
This Friday we went to...I know we went somewhere, now where was it...what did we do? Oh! Yeah! I went out for Sushi with Clay and Alison (the one that doesn’t actually live on my hall, but who is here all the time). It was very yummie!
Saturday a group of us went to The Pour House for half price burgers. Quite yummie too! Then we came back to our hall and watched Finding Neverland...VERY Good movie! After that I believe that we went to the lecture hall and played some N64 :) however, we did get to bed somewhat early....
Sunday we woke up early and went to Dim Sum...Very good! I know exactly where to take you all when you come to visit me ;) ...After that those of us who went out for breakfast also decided to do a little shopping around town. After that I had to head over to my Squadron Commander’s house so that she could help me get my BDUs taken care of and ready for class Monday (I got my BDUs...I love my BDUs! ..So Happy!).
Monday I had LLAB, bright and early, ick! Oh well, after the Frosh went out for Bagels (what has become a great tradition) I came home and slept for a couple hours before my next class. After classes were over, and we had turned in our P-Set that was due today (wa-hoo for being the first people to turn it in!) I decided to get back at Fish (he insulted my BDUs that morning). I went into his room (totally acceptable) and then entered his space bubble (just to get on his nerves). I had a rolled up paper (like a news paper booklet) in my hands and I poked him....so, he grabbed the paper. There we were, both holding on to the paper, waiting for the other person to get board (we did try a few times to yank it out of the other person's hands, but nothing significant). Alison was there to join in a few times, but nothing too big. Eventually, after about half an hour (when the Boppie-Pop, trying to sleep, cutting the paper, and many other attempts had failed), Fish walked me out of his room and down to Jackie's room, where he told her "I have a Liz attached to me." Where I responded "he took my paper." "She poked me with it." "He insulted my BDUs"....He couldn’t think of anything...."but...uh...She's in the Air Force." To that we both looked at Jackie and her reply was "I have family in the Air Force, so you loose." Fish was upset.... :) ....so fun! And with that we all (Fish, Alison, Jackie, and I) started wrestling for the paper...long story shortened, the paper ripped and I ended up with 2/3rds of it and Fish with 1/3rd....and we where trying to get that too, when Fish ran for the bathroom (again), this time getting himself cornered, so obviously the best option was to go into the shower (again cornered). Because this was originally my battle, I went up to him and tried to get the last third of the paper, but it wasn’t working well, so I turned the water on him, just for a second to startle him...it didn’t work though, so I had to turn it on again. At this time, I'm not wet much at all, but Fish is soaked in cold water....however that didn’t last long because eventually he squeezed around me and turned the water on me (I found it quite refreshing actually because it was getting kinda warm in my sweatshirt)....it took time, but eventually I ended up with the entire paper and also his goober (however you spell that) tool thingy. Of course Fish wanted it back, and eventually got it, but only after a lot of work. By the end of the night I had won...I got the paper and Fish's white board markers.
Fish's response to that was to give up all assistance to the BARCO (our giant projector). I didn’t think much of this at first, but that meant that he repossessed his cables...meaning that we lost the BARCO! I held out all day, but eventually ended up giving the markers back. If not for the Stargaters I would have one that one too! Oh well, I love the Stargaters! And I'm still up, 3 to 1!
Today was great, after PT time this morning I came home and slept for 5 hours! The best part about it was that I didn't actually miss any class time that I can't take care of (I missed 6.001 Lecture, but they are online, so I can work through it when I do the problem set online...the way the class is designed to work...don't worry mom, I know what I'm doing! :) ). After class I went over to Tufts because I had to interview one of the ROTC cadets that goes to school out there. I was asked to write an article for the Countdown about him. After that we had our traditional Thursday Night Dinners (now moved to Tuesday night). I cooked a pork roast...it turned out so good! We had that, mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots, and fresh baked bread (James made it and it was quite good). All in all, we decided that our parents would've been proud of it this week!
Well, that's all the interesting stuff that's happened....ok, the semi-interesting stuff that has happened. I feel that it's time for me to hit the sack....Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! Even if it's a day late (ok, a day-plus late). Good night!
I'm hosed!
