I don't know if you can really see it, but the water is quite high!

Ok! Ok! Cambridge didn'd actually flood. A main water line broke (I still don't know why) and it flooded Broadway. There was a whole lot of water flowing out of the line, so much in fact that it actually buckled the street above it and blew a sizeable hole in it.

The blue is where the water went....it was about 4-5 inches deep in most places.

Well, that was Thursday night and we lost water (all of MIT and most of the surrounding area too) for just about 6 hours. It was a long time and right at dinner time, but we managed. James and I started a Crock-pot and ended up feeding a few other people...Very yummie and fun!
Last night we went to the Museum of Science to see this musical thing. (For the record, MIT students get in for free! It was awesome!) It was called "Zap! Music for Van de Graaff Generator, Robots, Instruments and Voices"--I got the impression that there was going to be some really great visuals to go along with the music, but I guess my expectations were too high. Not that it wasn’t fun and entertaining; it's just that I thought there would be more. It was very much written by someone into music and not showmanship. There were times when there was absolutely nothing to actually watch! Oh well, it was still fun. After the show we hung out in the museum and played around a bit. Lots of fun! We found these magnet things and made pictures out of little metal bead strings. We probably spent an hour and a half there!

This is us playing around with the magnet boards.

This is the picture that I made
Anyway, that's about it! Tomorrow's the Super Bowl and we have a lot of things planned, so I want to get my homework over with today. Also Amy's doing a project that she needs help with. She's going to take a picture journey through MIT with us randomly sleeping everywhere. I think it will turn out really nice! At any rate, I've go to go!
