Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving, yeah, I know it was a week ago or so, but here it is...basically, Amy’s mom came up and we had a great time!

Thursday I woke up late because I could, it was great! Then I started making Chocolate Pie, yummy! I failed at one crust (I think my eggs were too cold this time) so I made a few meringues, but then I made 2 really good ones (the second was excellent, except for the fact that I built it up a little too much and it fell out, but I fixed it and it was awesome). I ended up making two excellent pies! Then I had to call Daddy for a refresher’s course on gravy (Thanks Daddy!) because I was in charge of making gravy for the mashed potatoes. Dinner was special, “an unholy synergy of pie.” We had chicken pot pie, keash (however you spell that), baked apples (in a pie pan), mashed potatoes, and chocolate pie. Everything was in a pie pan! It was really good!

Friday night Amy, Amy’s mom, Jackie, and I went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then spend the evening shopping around the Galleria. It was a lot of fun! Amy’s mom is so funny! Even Jackie (who hates shopping) loved going shopping with us because Amy’s mom is so cool. :)

Saturday we went to Chocolate Bar again. It was even better this time! There was no theme, so it was all decadent and fancy and really really good. And now we have the best strategy ever! It works best with three or four people, we all go to the fancy things table together and have one person take one of each of the items. Then we go back to our table, eat a third/quarter of whatever we have, and then rotate plates. That way everyone gets to try everything, because you don’t want to eat all of everything, that’s just way too much chocolate! (and I didn’t know that was possible!!) It’s so good!

That was basically it for my Thanksgiving...it was a lot of fun!
