I went to the beach today! It was awesome!
I spent yesterday finishing packing up all my stuff and taking care of little odds and ends that I needed to do so that today I could have fun all day long! I’m quite happy...We--being Clare, Lele, and I--woke up early and caught the commuter rail out to Singing Beach...yes, the sand made happy squeaky noises if you walked just right.
We took Fish’s football, because he’s having fun in Switzerland, and played football in the ocean. We also took a nice little selection of food and had lots of fun eating and relaxing and playing and sunbathing, ok, so there wasn’t much sunbathing, but lots of time having fun in the sun...I did get sun burned though...kinda funny, apparently the whole time I was playing football my back was to the sun...so now my back is burned, but not all of my back, just down to where the water came up to.
It was so much fun! I’m so happy to have gotten some sun now! No more monitor tan! Yippie!

Wow...I’m on my way to West Virginia! Again.
So, last night Draketh (aka Nick) flew into Boston...Draketh is one of Alison E, Chris, and Clay’s friends from World of Warcraft...ok, mostly Alison’s, considering they’re kinda dating...at any rate, he decided that he was going to come up to Boston (even though Alison’s not here any more) and go visit Clay with us...well, meet Clay in person! Oh noes, real life friends! Ok, back from that little tangent...so, Draketh spent the night with me last night and the two of us took one of the first trains to Wellesley to meet up with Kate.
When we got to Wellesley we walked over to a little local tea and coffee shop and got tea and hung out for a while...we were supposed to leave around 8, but there were a few technical difficulties with that because they had to drop one of the other Wellesley girl’s stuff into a storage locker and then they got caught in traffic...it was special. Oh well, we got out about an hour and a half later than we had planned to.
After we left Wellesley we headed down to Connecticut to pick up Alison E. It was a kinda long ride, mostly because we hadn’t had breakfast, but when we got to Alison's house she had a very yummie breakfast of buttermilk pancakes and fruit salad.
I got to drive when we left Alison's house...I miss driving a lot! I drove for quite some time, and got stuck in a traffic jam for about an hour and a half...it sucked! There was a really really bad accident that I believe involved a semi (at least that’s what the tracks in the mud looked like). It was still fun though because we were able to talk and laugh our way though it. However, it put us even farther behind!
We ended up getting to Rebecca’s house--ok, I mean town--around 2000...the best part about it was that Rebecca grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania. That’s right the home of everybody’s favorite chocolate! It was really cute...Rebecca was really cute. She goes to Wellesley with Kate and we’ve taken to calling her Mom because she is everybody’s mother--in the good way. At any rate, she drove us around Hershey (it was raining) and told us were everything was and had all sorts of little tid-bits of extra interesting facts to tell us about her town. It was better than having a paid tour guide! After our little tour we got some pizza and took it back to Rebecca’s house and rested for about an hour or so. I think that we really needed to get out of the car for a while!
And now we are off again...we got started out at 2230...we know it’s really late, and that we’ve been up for a really really long time, but we really want to get to see Clay tonight...not to mention we’ve all had naps while other people were driving :) Kate’s driving now, and we’re listening to “nerd-tastic” a mix that she’s made of very cool nerdy songs...they are all funny and Kate knows the words to all of them!
Clay lives out in the woods, so the plan right now is that I will do the driving when we get off the highway because I have the most experience driving on windy roads at night...go, go Pollock! At any rate, I should close up before my laptop dies...
...but before I do, I figured that I’d draw up a schedule of when we where supposed to be where, and when we actually got there...just because I think it’s funny...
Planed -- Where --- Actual
6:55AM - Catch the train --- 7:10 (yeah, we missed the first train!)
~8AM --- Leave Wellesley --- 9:30
~10AM -- Breakfast @ Alison’s --- 12:00
~5PM --- Drop off Rebecca --- 8:00
~9PM --- Get to Clay’s --- well...it’s 11:30 now, and we’ve got a few hours left.

Clay’s family had a BBQ Saturday afternoon, it was very tasty and a lot of fun!
Before the festivities began we headed out to town to pick up chocolate, books, booze, drugs, and ammo. Of course not all of them to be used together! There’s really cute, and awesome, little chocolate shop that Clay loves, and it was a lot of fun to go there with them. Then we went over to Clay’s favorite used book store...it was really nice...we ended up having to drag Alison E out of the place because she wasn’t done yet. :) It was cute.
As for the booze, drugs, and ammunition--I had to pick up a prescription, the old people wanted beer with their burgers, and Kate and Alison E were quite excited about shooting one of Clay’s pistols. It was a very awesome and entertaining evening...good food, good friends, and fun times!
We finished up the night playing a game of Settlers of Catan...if you want to know more about it...it was fun...only 4 people can play so I watched (I had a small headache), but it was still a lot of fun!

Sunday 04 June 2006
We slept in...It was great! I was kinda surprised that I slept that well, cause I’ve been having a hard time falling asleep lately...when we finally did get up...and more importantly, motivated...we went out for sushi for breakfast! It was awesome! We were all amazed that there was a very tasty sushi and seafood place in the middle of West Virginia...they had some really really good Dungeness too. I was amazed, and so happy! The bodies weren’t as good a normal, but the legs were quite awesome.
After that we went back to Clay’s and played Munchkins...if you want more info on it...and waited for Chris to show up...it was really fun! Alison E was a thief and stole from everyone and it drove us all crazy, so Kate and I stoned her when we finished playing! It was funny.
After the game we loaded up the cars to drive to Clay’s apartment...he’s just moved out of the house and in with his girlfriend Kris. It’s a really nice apartment...oh, at any rate, in the middle of loading him up (and still waiting for Chris to get there) I got a really bad headache...ok, ok...it was a migraine. It was awful! Clay’s parents gave me some really good pain killers, one to take then to make it go away and one to take to knock me out when it was time to go to bed. I’ve decided that I really have to avoid chocolate! I think that’s one of the things that got to me...I slept very well the night before, I’d had 3 pieces of good dark chocolate the night before, and it is week one of the pill...I think that the chocolate had a lot to do with it. Oh well. I can avoid chocolate...or at least more than 1 piece of good chocolate.
Eventually Chris go there, and we left to go to Clay’s apartment. It was a log, but fun drive...I rode with Kate and the two of us laughed almost the entire way (we didn’t start talking until my migraine was gone...but after that, man, we were laughing!)
When we got to Clay apartment, the first thing we did (after peeing and unloading the car) was set up the computers...ah, to be at home among the nerds! It’s made even funnier because the internet wasn’t set up yet! The cable guy came today :) it was entertaining.

Today, Sunday 04 June 2006
Today when the rest of them went to the grocery store for breakfast stuff, I went out and explored the little area that Clay lives in...it was a very nice little 25 minute run! I hate my feet, but other than that, the running was nice...I can’t seem to get rid of this silly blister...I need to figure something else out for it. The new shoes have helped a lot, but it still only took about 15 minutes to rub a very painful blister today. :( Oh well, it wont stop me from running! After wards I did a very awesome hour long yoga session...it was the first time that I’ve ever done it by myself! I’m so proud of myself!
It was a very awesome morning. And now (after breakfast and a shower) I’m listening to the silly kids play World of Warcraft and writing to you peoples :) it’s fun, but I think I’m about ready to start pestering them to do something else!
I’ll try to post pictures when I get a chance! <3
