Southampton

So...Monday, after I posted...yeah, um...they didn’t stop playing...and yeah, I know that we should have just asked, but we didn’t, instead we (being Kate and I) went for a walk instead. We found the one little bit of nature in suburbia...there was a little creak behind the apartment and we went walking through it. Perfect temperature, and clear, and it was nice!

Yesterday they didn’t play WoW at all, let’s just say that things were said, but then they got resolved, so everything was good! We were going to go to the Zoo in DC, but discover that it closed earlier than it would be worth to go there. Instead we went to the store and bought expansions for the games that we’ve been playing to make them more fun. After the stores we cooked dinner (it took almost 2.5 hours to cook dinner!) and played more rousing games of Munchkin. All in all, it was a fairly short, but really fun, day because we went to bed kinda early so that we could get up early and come to Southampton today.

Today drove to Southampton because Kate’s mom has a house here and they need to get it ready for summer renters so that they can leave from New York tomorrow. It wasn’t too bad of a drive, the weather kinda sucked most of the day, but oh well, we were in the car. When we got here (and after we unloaded Kate’s car) we went out to dinner at this really nice sea food place called Lobster Inn. Alison and I split a boil thing with clams, lobster, muscles, shrimp, and king crab...it was very tasty, and more than enough for the two of us. After that we came back to the house and helped Kate’s mom clean up, tomorrow we’re going to wake up early again and finish up before we head to NYC to go back to Connecticut to stay with Alison for a day, and then off to see Fish! It’s going to be a lot of fun! *smiles*
