Last Weekend...

Weekend before last was not so happy for me. I was having migraines and ended up going to my doctor for them...we are trying to make sure I don’t keep getting them every month. This was the third or fourth time in the past four months that I’ve had them and we are beginning to think that they are accompanying my menstrual cycle...not a good thought, but I guess we’re still trying to fix them.

Oh yeah, this was also the week that my computer was compromised...shudder...I don’t want to talk about it.

At any rate, by the end of the week I really needed a break. And Amy, who had just had a very stressful week, also needed a break. So as soon as we finished up our 6.002 lab Friday evening we left campus. We went to the Galleria and did a little shopping. I got a few new shirts. I really like simple shirts and I’ve been really happy lately because I’m finding cheep shirts that have nothing on them. Yippie for simplicity. Amy ended up also buying shirts because she needed some that she can wear with some of her skirts. She also bought this really awesome black coat...it’s very flattering.

Anyway, after shopping we went to this little Afghani place that’s near the Galleria. It was really good! This is definitely one of the places that I will be taking you people whenever you come to visit me. It was different, hard to explain, but very good. Both flavorful spicy and hot spicy. Yum!

Saturday, in the early afternoon, a large number of us went to see Serenity. It’s the movie that is based on the Firefly TV show that was really awesome!! SO GOOD! I love TV show (all 12 episodes)! I loved the movie! It makes me so happy! Go Space Western! *happy dance* It was a good movie.

After the movie I had to stop by the pharmacy so Alison and I walked back through the Boston Common (a nice park) and stopped to sit on the grass. We ended up wasting so much time that we decided to go to the Pour House because we got there about the same time that half price burgers were starting.

Later Saturday night I started the long process of defragmenting my computer. Alison sat with me and helped me by keeping me company. We ended up watching four (I think, I kinda lost count) movies while I was taking care of this.

By Sunday my internet was still not turned on so I spent the day trying to get ahead for the week, it was not fun, but I did get things taken care of.

Monday, after my drop was turned on I spent a lot of time downloading programs that I wanted back and getting my computer back to the way that it was before. The sad thing is that I can’t figure out what I had done before to make everything work better, but I find that everything runs slower now that it did before I reformatted...it’s a sad, sad thing. Oh well...most everything’s back to normal by now.
