I put my bed on top of 3 bookshelves and a dresser (at the foot). It's quite comfortable and best of all, I have storage space under my bed, it's where i keep the food that I don't eat as often. Also, the bookselves are a bit wider than my bed is, so I've got the little bed-side table thing going on. It's awesome! Also, it's really nice to have the extra dresser because, well, I have too many clothes.
I really like having the extra bookshelf, it's really nice to have all of my book-stuffs together with my desk, where I actually work now. Also, there is my second dresser--actually, it's not even full, but it's very well organized. underwear, ROTC underwear (ok, that's undershirts, spandex shorts, and all the other ROTC thingys that go along with my uniform), socks, and PJs...It's great!

Behind my door
I'm still looking for a good shelf thingy or something to put under this one that's attached to the wall

Now I'm going back to the beginning...This is what my room looked like while I was painting during rush. I would post pictures from before I started moving in, but I forgot to take any, and you can still see what my room looked like before with a little imagination.

This is the corner that my desk ended up in...
...and the color that my room used to be.
Can't you see why I chose to paint it?

There was this foot and a half all the way around my room.

It was hard to live with, even for a week

After rush, I was mostly finished with the painting, but still I was not completely done. It was driving me crazy! I ended up not working in my room most of the time because I couldn't stand it.

A side from the boxes everywhere,
this was the state of the paint job in that corner.
I was almost done painting, but not done enough to take the tape down.

My bed area.
The only part that I didn't have painted was above the top trim,
and that's how most of the room was.

I'm so happy that my room is painted...It's not quite done yet, there are still a couple of things that I want to do, but those will be easy now that everything is painted. I want to put my hair things up on the small wall next to the sink area so that they're easier to wear. Also, I really want to get my circles up, that should happen soon though because all I need to do is put a block of wood up and hang 'em. The last two things that I want to do will happen at the same time, I want to hang up my scarves and Christmas lights. Hanging these up will be easy, I just have to find the motivation, I think Thanksgiving might end up being that motivation...I don't need to pull the scarves out yet :) There will be more pictures (yippie) when I get these things taken care of.

I'd wait on the lights till after room inspections -- theoretically we get those Thursday the 10th though I'd imagine it'll end up being more like the week after that... @
